Frances Crewdson and Tom Gray, prominent figures in the industry, have been chosen as the new Co-Chairs of the Cannabis Industry Council (CIC), succeeding Dr. Callie Seaman and Jamie Bartley. Frances and Tom will start their two-year term on June 25, 2025, following a handover at the CIC AGM in London on that date.
Frances has served as Chair of the CIC Standards Working Group since 2024, and is also a Director at CannDo Consulting. Alongside Frances, the CIC Executive Committee has also elected Tom Gray, CEO of Lumino, a leading cannabis recruitment agency, since 2018.
Their election to these new roles was decided by the CIC’s Executive Committee, which manages the organization on behalf of its members.
Incoming CIC Co-Chair Tom Gray said:
“I’m genuinely honoured to be elected as Co-Chair of the CIC and excited to work alongside Frances Crewdson and the rest of the members. I look forward to making a positive impact on the organisation, and helping drive the UK cannabis industry forward.
“A special shout-out to Callie and Jamie, who have volunteered so much time and effort to this position for the sake of the industry – we truly appreciate their commitment.”
Incoming CIC Co-Chair Frances Crewdson commented:
“I am very excited to be taking on the Co-Chair role with Tom. Jamie and Callie have done excellent work over the last two years and I’m much looking forward to building on that success.”
