The Cannabis Conversation was founded in 2019 by commercial lawyer Anuj Desai, who sought to explore the legal cannabis industry and the people shaping it.

From its inception, the podcast focused on thoughtful, evidence-based discussions with industry leaders, policymakers, scientists, clinicians, and business professionals. Over the years, the podcast had become a respected resource for reliable, high-quality insights across the European cannabis sector.

In 2025, Anuj passed the reins to Lumino, Europe’s leading cannabis recruitment agency, who have taken stewardship of the podcast’s next chapter.

Lumino was founded on the philosophy that an ‘industry is only as good as the people in it’. Reflecting that ethos with a renewed focus on expansion, reach, and impact, the podcast will provide a space for the industry’s best minds to share their most meaningful insights and to help illuminate this rapidly evolving sector.
