Last month, Lumino’s COO, Nikita Cretu, travelled to Thailand to attend the Asia International Hemp Expo and Forum (AIHEF) 2025 in Bangkok. The event brought together innovators, operators and thought leaders from across the Asian cannabis sector, offering a valuable opportunity for Lumino to stay close to international developments.
During the expo, Nikita even crossed paths with one of our successfully placed candidates at Bluelab. Seeing both talent & our clients thrive is one of the most rewarding parts of the work we do.
Encounters like these remind us why we say “an industry is only as good as the people in it.”

Beyond the expo halls, Nikita took time to reconnect with several cannabis companies operating in Thailand, including past Lumino clients.
Notably, he visited Actera, Iridescent Med and Thai Stick, gaining first hand insight into each company’s operations and future plans. These visits were made alongside Timo Bongartz, Managing Director of Kündig’s Pharmaceutical Solutions business, and Sebastian Sonntagbauer, Head of Customer Success at Cannavigia, making the trip a productive exchange between European and Asian industry leaders.

The warmth and famous ‘Thai hospitality’ across all facilities was exceptional. Nikita expressed his deep appreciation for the warm welcome, the time invested by each company and the openness with which teams showcased their work.
He left Bangkok energised and grateful, looking forward to reconnecting with all of them again soon.
As Europe’s leading recruitment agency specialising in the rapidly evolving medical cannabis industry, Lumino remains committed to keeping strong relationships not only across Europe but around the world. Trips like this reflect our ongoing work in supporting companies globally, understanding new markets and staying close to the people shaping the future of cannabis.
